What is "CLAYGATE", well it's a name of a train station outside of London.

The place itself represents an insane amount of excessive lifestyles, of extreme wealth and aristocracy (which exists in select parts of the world), and the conflict it creates by being disproportionate with the rest of the world, which by comparison can hardly reach one millionth of it's standard of living, hence the imbalance, madness and schism of the the world we all are apart of, whether we choose to see it or not.

We have had the most productive summer ever - playing the streets of New York City nearly every day for the past 3 months. This has been a grand introductory tour for WAKE UP! in one of the most challenging, inspiring and creative places on earth. It has been hard but we did it! (follow the story on our blog). We found each time that we played an audience would gather, becoming ever larger and more enthusiastic. The music of WAKE UP! developed and started reflecting more and more the energy we were feeling from the people and the street.  The result is a new sound that is drenched in street life, hip hop, punk rock, funk, love and soul.

YOU are to blame is right!

"you" and "we" are to blame indeed!! it's up to us to bring back culture to "new disney city"

you can say the people lurking behind the curtain are to blame, the "shadow government", etc.

but what if these concepts are symbols or archetypes of the madness within us all? maybe if people stopped seeking distractions to escape the painful truth that the world, which includes every single one of us is truly messed up, dysfunctional, out of balance, and in a great deal of pain (despite all of the smiling faces!)

it is said that the definition of apocolypse means to reveal; to show the truth (not having to do with all of the 'doomsday'/end of the world propoganda) maybe this means that everyone's shadow self and the worlds shadow self (both being one really) are surfacing as we speak, therefore the madness that normally churns out of sight and mind, has no choice but to "boil over" into our everyday reality, hence the madness cannot be denied nor ignored any longer.

ekart tolle in "a new earth" said that in order to rid ourselves of madness, first we must see the madness within ourselves, that to see it is to begin to transcend it, go beyond it---he further argues that the "ego" is not to blame, rather our "false ego" is to blame...which can be seen as extreme vanity, insecurity, jealousy, envy, too much pride....that these take possession over all of us at times, like a "psychic parasite" or c.g. jung referred to it as the "psychic alien factor" yet when this takes place we should be careful not to identify ourselves with these things, "they are not YOU!" but that although all of us fight to tame these things, we get trapped in the identification of them...and the less we identify with false ego possession, the more we are able to WAKE UP!

perhaps, your true self is found within your soul, spirit, pure awareness and Being...

What is going on in Manhattan?

Has NYC turned into the suburbs? Why is it so quiet in the streets? Why are the people of NYC allowing this to happen? Why do you want the city to become a huge suburb? This is NYC people, "Wake-up!" = Bring back life to the city!! A Ghost-town indeed. The Arts are in jeopardy of becoming obsolete, something you read about in history books, and are no longer important to this culture. NYC is supposed to be the "Mecca" of all things creative, and innovative, and REAL, but this is all disappearing, right before our eyes, and WE ARE ALL TO BLAME!!! - Shame on us all.

STREET TOUR REPORT: coming at you live and in full force!

They are trying to kill us, but we can't let them do it us. We must stay strong, vigilant, determined, and not give up hope. Solidarity is what we need, not just amongst the musicians of the world, but everyone. I know this sounds completely impossible, and way too far-fetched, but if we don't pull together as a people, unfortunately WE ARE ALL DEAD!! Any person with even a little common sense can see how fucked up everything is these days. Everywhere we go to play, whether in Central Park, Tompkins Park, or Astor Place, Union Sq., Columbus Circle, Washington Sq. park, West Village, East Village, Mid-town, Chelsea, Up-town, Soho, Wall St., and the list goes on and on and on, we are eventually shut-down by the police, and if we continue to try to play in that area, we get a summons to appear in court for "Unnecessary Noise" and other trivial charges. This is just freakin' insane, and I don't know anymore about this city, really starting to lose faith here, so...

We have been in the studio twice this week, and we laid down some killer tracks. Be on the look-out for our release of these recordings in the near future. And to all those Record Executives and Producers out there, We Really Need You guys To "WAKE-UP!" and invest that $ in this here group. We are the hottest thing happening in the so called "Downtown scene" and we are ready for the big $$ and all that comes with it!! So to all of you, be warned we are coming through with a vengeance, breaking down all doors, and going straight through all obstacles in our way!!! AMEN, AMEN!! Thursday in Queens. 100 degrees. We collapsed on Review Avenue's pavement after a session at Roxy studio and filming with Terrence (he's making a documentary about WAKE UP!). Big hang out.
