NYC ghost town

This town, is coming like a ghost town
All the clubs have been closed down
This place, is coming like a ghost town
Bands won't play no more
Tough surveillance hittin' dance floors

Do you remember the good old days
Before the ghost town?
We danced and sang,
And the music played inna de boomtown

This town, is coming like a ghost town
Why can't we just free ourselves?
Government leaving the youth on the shelf
This place, is coming like a ghost town
No job to be found in this country
Can't go on no more
The people getting angry

This town, is coming like a ghost town

  1. that hits the nail on the head! what the hell is new york city becoming...reminds me of a giant version of my suburban hometown, walnut creek california--no soul, no life, no color, no fire, full of void--shit that's why i left california, but now, perhaps it's no longer a local phenomenon--it's happenin' all over the planet--global gentrification coupled with disney and all the benefits henceforth, if you can afford them!!...new york is a giant suburb now
